 <p>Filters may be utilized in your project through implementing the ContainerRequestFilter or ContainerResponseFilter interfaces. Each interface handles a separate filter scenario—inbound, or outbound—with unique function parameters to the overridden <strong>filter</strong> method. Note: the <strong>@Provider</strong> annoation on the class is necessary to perform the servlet mapping independent of the web.xml.</p>
