<p>Of the four parameters <code class="docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">start</span></code>, <code class="docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">end</span></code>, <code class="docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">periods</span></code>, and <code class="docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">freq</span></code>,
exactly three must be specified. If <code class="docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">freq</span></code> is omitted, the resulting
<code class="docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">DatetimeIndex</span></code> will have <code class="docutils literal notranslate"><span class="pre">periods</span></code> linearly spaced elements between
