 			<p><b>OpenOffice.org </b> is een open-source <i>project</i> met als <a href="doelstelling.html">doelstelling</a>: "De ontwikkeling van hét internationale
 				kantoorpakket, beschikbaar voor de voornaamste besturingssystemen, met toegang tot alle functies en gegevens via open, componentgebaseerde API's en
 				een op XML gebaseerd bestandsformaat".</p>
 			<p><b>OpenOffice.org </b> is bovendien de naam van het <i>product</i> van die ontwikkeling: een voor iedereen gratis kantoorpakket met modules voor onder andere
 				tekstverwerking, spreadsheet, vectorgrafiek, en presentatie. Qua veelzijdigheid en bediening vergelijkbaar met de meest gebruikte commerciële
 				kantoorpakketten, is de huidige versie zowel thuis als op het werk uitstekend toepasbaar! </p>
 			<p><b>nl.openoffice.org</b> is het onderdeel van het OpenOffice.org project dat zich richt op Nederlandstalige gebruikers. Hierbij verdienen de volgende aspecten
 				onze aandacht:</p>

 				<li>Vertaling voor en testen van de nieuwe Nederlandstalige versies.</li>
 				<li>Informatie in het Nederlands (webpagina's en documentatie).</li>
 				<li>Beschikbaarheid van de actuele OpenOffice.org versies in de Nederlandstalige uitvoering.</li>
 				<li>Beschikbaarheid van mirror sites in Nederland en België.</li>
 				<li>Verdere verbetering van de vertaling in het Nederlands.</li>
 				<li>Beschikbaarheid van taalhulpen voor het Nederlands, zoals spellingcontrole.</li>
 				<li>Publiciteit voor OpenOffice.org in Nederland en België.</li>
