| da molti come la miglior alternativa alle attuali suite commerciali |
| di office automation. |
| I suoi maggiori vantaggi risiedono nell'uso di standard e formati aperti e |
| liberi, nella comunità di sviluppatori ed utenti che vi lavorano e |
| li supportano. |
| Fin dal 2000, quando Sun Microsystems Inc. rilasciò pubblicamente per |
| la prima volta il codice sorgente, sono stati fatti più di 42 milioni di |
| download dell'applicazione e dei sorgenti. |
