| OpenOffice.org 2.0 est la première suite bureautique open source à |
| offrir un support approfondi au standard Open Document Format for |
| Office Applications (OpenDocument) OASIS. OpenDocument est un format de |
| fichier XML qui a été développé par <a href="http://www.oasis-open.org/home/index.php">OASIS</a>, l'organisme |
| international |
| pour le développement et la ratification des standards de l'e-Business. |
| Le format OpenDocument peut être utilisé par n'importe quelle |
| application sans crainte d'un attachement spécifique à un éditeur ou de |
| termes et coûts de licences onéreux ; en toute confiance quant à la |
| possibilité de voir, éditer, imprimer les documents pour les |

| La suite offre maintenant un module de base de données, Base, en |
| complément du traitement de texte (Writer), du tableur (Calc), du |
| module de présentation (Impress) et du module de dessin (Draw). Elle |

| de données HSQLDB, implémenté en Java, et qui permet une compatibilité |

| l'organisme de normalisation ISO (International Standard Organisation) |
| pour une ratification de norme publique.<br> |
| OpenOffice.org 2.0 est la première suite bureautique qui offre un |
| support complet pour le format OpenDocument, une spécification de |

| Pour ceux qui souhaitent distribuer des documents dans un format non |
| éditable, la très populaire fonctionnalité d'export PDF, introduite par |
| OpenOffice.org 1.1, a été bien améliorée dans cette version. L'export |
| PDF fournit un meilleur contrôle quant à la qualité et à la taille des |
| PDF générés ainsi que l'intégration des liens, index, formulaires, |
| onglets et les effets de transition dans les présentations.<br> |

| <span style="font-weight: bold;">XForms</span><br> |
| Les formulaires <a href="http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xforms">XForms</a> |
| sont maintenant beaucoup plus faciles à créer, éditer et utiliser grâce |
| à leur complète intégration dans OpenOffice.org. L'intégration de XForm |
| est importante dans la mesure où elle représente une étape de plus en |
| direction d'une meilleure interactivité et connectivité à l'intérieur |
| des documents. OpenOffice.org va définitivement dans cette direction et |
| le fait en supportant les standards, la liberté et l'ouverture. XForms |
| est le standard pour les formulaires web, définit par le consortium W3C |
| (<a href="http://www.w3c.org/">http://www.w3c.org/</a>), l'organisme |

| <span style="font-weight: bold;">Amélioration dans Calc (Tableur)</span><br> |
| Le module Calc comporte maintenant des feuilles pouvant aller jusqu'à |
| 65 536 lignes de données. Cette amélioration permettra aux utilisateurs |
| avancés une utilisation complète d'OpenOffice.org lorsqu'ils manipulent |
| des classeurs contenant beaucoup de données. En plus, de nombreuses |
| améliorations ont été apportées au pilote de données permettant de |
| réaliser des analyses avancées de données stockées dans les feuilles de |
| calcul ou les bases de données. <br> |

| <span style="font-weight: bold;">Compatibilité</span><br> |
| La fonctionnalité des filtres vers les suites propriétaires a été |
| significativement améliorée permettant une compatibilité accrue entre |
| les applications bureautiques incluant Microsoft Office. L'import vers |
| les documents Corel WordPerfect a été ajouté, autorisant une meilleure |
| communication entre suites bureautiques.<br> |

| Comptage des mots<br> |
| La fonction basique de comptage des mots fournie dans les versions |
| précédentes d'OpenOffice.org a maintenant été étendue, fournissant des |
| informations complémentaires telles que le comptage dans une sélection |
| de mots et de caractères. Cette fonctionnalité a également été déplacée |
| vers un endroit plus accessible.<br> |
| Signature numérique<br> |
| OpenOffice.org 2.0 offre maintenant la possibilité de signer |
| numériquement des documents en utilisant des certificats numériques |

| Installeur natif<br> |
| OpenOffice.org 2.0 utilise un mécanisme d'installation natif. Par |
| exemple, les fichiers .MSI et .CAB sont fournis pour Microsoft Windows |
| et des fichiers RPM sont disponibles pour Linux autorisant une |
