| <p>It is recommended that the previous version be uninstalled before updating to a new version. This can be accomplished, in Windows, by using the Setup program from the Start Menu and selecting Deinstallation.</p> |
| <p>You can also copy and rename the main OpenOffice.org program folder if you want to keep some or all files contained in it. If you try to install a new version over an older one on a Windows system, you could have an error during the installation procedure.</p> |
