The J2EE specification lets J2EE components refer to message destination objects by using logical names called message destination references. A message destination reference points to a message destination that can be defined in an EJB module, application client module, or web module.

To declare a message destination reference, you must register it in the
web.xml
file. When you do this, you provide information needed by the server to use the resource reference.

In the Visual Editor, click References at the top of the editor to open the References section, then click the Message Destination References header to open the Message Destination References section.
