Hi,
On behalf of the Subversion community. We have a form on our our site [1]
that previously used Google Sitesearch on the (now defunct)
mail-archives.apache.org.
Is it possible to craft a similar form linking to Ponymail (lists.apache.org)
without resorting to Javascript? It seems to me whatever I do I get the
name of the input fields as part of the URL.
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
/Daniel Sahlberg

Hi Daniel
I think a link like this is what you're looking for. Just change "Wayita"
with something else the user is searching for.
https://lists.apache.org/list?*@subversion.apache.org:gte=0d:Wayita

Hi,
I've already found that, and I can construct the URL via Javascript and redir=
ect the user.
However I was asking if it is possible to construct an HTML form that send th=
e user directly to list.a.o /without/ the javascript hack. Ie if there is an =
endpoint that accepts normal GET parameters (something like https://lists.apa=
che.org/search?list=3D*@subversion.apache.org&time=3Dgte%3D0d&q=3DWayita).
Kind regards
Daniel

Hi,
(Please keep me in CC since I'm not subscribed to the list!)
Apache Infra recently helped to backfill lists.apache.org with some old
mboxes for the Subversion project. When verifying, I found an e-mail [1]
that contains another e-mail as an attachment. I can't find a way to view
that second e-mail. It is possible to view it in raw source [2] but there
is no indication that it exists (except implicit from Karl's text). Compare
to our old archive [3] where it is presented separately.
I can see in some recent messages (for example [4]) that attached files are
presented separately.
Is there something that can be done to allow the attached e-mail in [1] to
be presented in a more intuitive way? Let me know if I should open an issue
(and if it should be in the original ponymail or in -foal).
Kind regards,
Daniel

Lists.apache.org is run by a 3rd party. Please contact Infra regarding
this issue.
FTR, it looks like lists.a.o has not extracted the attachment; see:
https://lists.apache.org/api/email.lua?id=3Dkm3dkh2b7cqddyp45n6n7x13n2wmxwc=
y
The attachments array (near the bottom) is empty.
Note that mod_mbox does/did provide direct access to such attachments.

The issue at hand is that the attachment is nameless (does not have a
filename specified in the content-disposition header), so the importer
would not have known this was meant to be an attached file (it thinks
it's an alternate body I guess). You can view the source of the email
and see the inline-attached email, but you are not able to download it
separately due to it having no filename. I'm not sure if/how this should
be addressed.
You can view the source in the UI, or at
https://lists.apache.org/api/source.lua?id=km3dkh2b7cqddyp45n6n7x13n2wmxwcy
