Merge pull request #719 from mtorluemke/backports-20151027-1 fixing some typos and added log messages.

16-April-2015: Traffic Control is Open Source! Certainly not perfect, but hopefully good enough to get going for an administrator using the rpms, and for brave developers to start looking in to helping the project move forward.
