"message": "Run release steps serially, and check packages without a sub-make\n\nFollow-ups from a second review round:\n\n- `make -j` (or -j in MAKEFLAGS) could run `verify`, `release-src` and\n `release-bin` in parallel. `release-bin` would then copy dist/LICENSE\n while `dependency-license` rewrites it, or `clean` would delete bin/\n while `build` writes it. `.NOTPARALLEL` is now set only when a release\n goal is requested, so CI\u0027s `make build -j3` stays parallel. A plain\n `.NOTPARALLEL` would serialize every target on GNU make before 4.4.\n- The package check is now a `define` macro used by both `release-check`\n and `release`, instead of a `$(MAKE) -f $(firstword $(MAKEFILE_LIST))`\n sub-make, which broke when the Makefile path contained spaces.\n- docs: the svn block\u0027s `cd ..` assumes you continue from inside\n skywalking-cli, and the text now says so.\n\nCo-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 \u003cnoreply@anthropic.com\u003e\nClaude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01EkgWrRt7QJvPTNx2N5wZr9\n",
