feat(plc4go/bacnetip): segmented request sending via peer-capability connection options

A confirmed request whose APDU exceeds the target device's declared
MaxApduLengthAccepted now goes out as a segmented request per ASHRAE 135
clause 5.4: segment 0 alone, then windows of segments paced by the peer's
SegmentAcks (actual window size honored, NAK-driven rewind, bounded
retransmission on ack timeout). The final service response is matched by a
pre-armed expectation that explicitly ignores SegmentAcks, since both wait
on the same invoke id.

The peer's capabilities arrive as two new connection options mirroring the
I-Am vocabulary: PeerMaxApduLengthAccepted=<octets> and
PeerSegmentationSupported=<segmented-both|segmented-receive|...>. With no
declared ceiling nothing changes (requests are never segmented); with a
ceiling but no segmentation support an oversized request fails fast with an
actionable error instead of provoking a device-side abort. An unknown peer
capability conservatively means no-segmentation — deliberately the opposite
default of our OWN capability parsing.

Reader and Writer share the transmit machinery (large ReadPropertyMultiple
access lists segment too); the previously unconsumed outboundSegmenter now
drives the wire format: segment 0 carries the service-choice byte as its
first payload byte, follow-up segments repeat the choice in the discrete
segmentServiceChoice field, matching the generated model's parse conditions.

Roundtrip tests run a fake clause-5.4 receive-side device: window sizes 1
and 3, NAK continuation, fail-fast without peer support, and a fitting
request staying unsegmented.

feat(plc4go/bacnetip): routed BACnet addressing via RemoteNetwork/RemoteAddress connection options

A connection whose target device sits behind a BACnet router (ASHRAE 135
clause 6) can now reach it: connect to the ROUTER's IP and set
RemoteNetwork=<dnet>&RemoteAddress=<ip:port|0xhex>. Every outgoing NPDU
(Reader, Writer, Subscriber, segment acks) then carries the destination
specifier (DNET/DLEN/DADR, hop count 255) so the router forwards it onto
the target's network; replies match on invoke id as before.

The discovery side mirrors the same vocabulary: a routed I-Am's NPDU
source specifier (SNET/SADR) is surfaced on the PlcDiscoveryItem as
RemoteNetwork/RemoteAddress options — copy-paste ready for the routed
connection URL, with 6-octet SADRs rendered as B/IP <ip>:<port> and other
datalink MACs as 0x hex.

This wires the first slice of the Phase 6 routed-addressing plan; the
DeviceInfoCache/StaticDevices scaffolding stays available for multi-device
connections later.
"

The header's "Batch Read
data layout ... section 8.1" was inaccurate (batch read/write is 8.2, not 8.1);
merge it with Batch Write under 8.2 and point the command list at chapter 7.

Also fix the same 8.1 mislabel on the batch-read worked example in
ParserSerializerTestsuite.xml and SlmpRequestBuildTest, and quote the full
8.2 section title ("Batch Read and Write") in the SlmpWriteRequest comment.

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>

* refactor(plc4j/slmp): address review feedback

- encode(): an un-coercible PlcValue (PlcIncompatibleDatatypeException) is an
expected caller error that maps to INVALID_DATA -- log it at DEBUG without a
stack trace instead of WARN; genuine buffer/encoding failures keep the WARN.
- SlmpDriverTest: drop the reflection -- the test shares the driver's package,
so the protected canRead()/canWrite() are directly accessible.
- SlmpTag: normalize the ceiling wording to "Batch Read/Write".

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>

* fix(plc4j/slmp): echo builder error items instead of NPE-masking them as INTERNAL_ERROR

The request builders store a DefaultPlcTagErrorItem (INVALID_ADDRESS for an
unparseable address, INVALID_DATA for an un-coercible value) instead of
throwing; for such a tag getTag()/getPlcValue() return null. onWrite cast the
null and NPEd in writeSingleTag, so the per-tag aggregation reported
INTERNAL_ERROR and masked the correct code. onRead had the same pre-existing
flaw for INVALID_ADDRESS and is fixed symmetrically.

Both loops now check request.getTagResponseCode(tagName) first (the pattern
SimulatedConnection.onWrite established) and echo a non-OK code straight into
the response without sending anything for that tag.

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>

* fix(plc4j/slmp): reject unexpected payload on write success; document timed-out-write semantics

Per SH-080008 a Batch Write success response carries no data, so a zero
endCode with a non-empty payload is the signature of a mis-attributed
response (e.g. a late read answer arriving after its own request timed out;
3E has no correlation id). mapWriteTag now takes the response payload, warns
and maps that combination to REMOTE_ERROR instead of a false OK.

Also generalizes the sendRequest javadoc caveat from reads to all requests
and spells out that a timed-out write may still have been applied by the
device (so retrying on REMOTE_ERROR may double-apply), renames the driver
testsuite to 'SLMP 3E Batch Read/Write' now that it covers writes, and
updates the stale mspec scope comment: the typed value codec and tag layer
are owned by the driver layer by design, not 'not built yet' (comment-only,
no generated-source changes).

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>

---------

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>
perf(plc4j/spi/buffers): speed up byte-aligned integer read/write (#2650)

* perf(plc4j/spi/buffers): speed up byte-aligned integer read/write

The byte buffers sit on every driver's hottest path (every primitive
field of every message). Measured with JMH on a 32x uint16 batch (JDK 21):
~6x faster reads, ~5.6x faster writes, ~38% less allocation, with all 775
buffer tests (incl. fuzz) and the Modbus parser/serializer suite green.

- AbstractBuffer: use ArrayDeque for the option-context stack instead of
  java.util.Stack (a synchronized Vector). A buffer is a single-threaded,
per-message scratch object -- positionInBits and the backing array are
already unsynchronized -- so the monitor enter/exit on every getContext()
guarded nothing. (Changing the protected context field type is
binary-incompatible for subclasses that read it directly; all in-repo
  buffer modules recompile.)
- ByteOrderBigEndian: expose a shared stateless INSTANCE and return it from
getByteOrder() instead of allocating one per field.
- Read/WriteBufferByteBased: add a zero-allocation fast path for whole-byte,
byte-aligned, big-endian, plain-binary integer fields (unsigned and signed
short/int/long) that reads/writes straight from the backing array. Gated
on the concrete EncodingUnsignedBinary / EncodingTwosComplement (not the
broader EncodingDefault) so BCD/float/etc. fall through to the slow path
unchanged; covered by new regression tests.

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>

* fix(plc4j/spi/buffers): correct byte alignment for non-byte-aligned sub-buffers

isAligned() (used by the whole-byte arraycopy fast paths in readBits/writeBits, and
now by the integer fast-path guards) tested only positionInBits, ignoring startBit.
A sub-buffer created at a non-byte-aligned offset has a non-zero startBit while its
own positionInBits is 0, so a whole-byte read/write took the byte-copy fast path and
indexed the backing array by (startBit + positionInBits) / 8 -- truncating the sub-byte
offset and reading/writing from the wrong byte. Test it on the absolute bit index.

Also gate the integer fast-path guards on isAligned() (absolute) instead of
positionInBits alone, and use `getByteOrder() instanceof ByteOrderBigEndian` instead
of reference-equality with the singleton, so an explicitly big-endian-configured buffer
(ServiceLoader instance) is still eligible for the fast path.

Adds a regression test: a whole-byte unsigned read from a non-byte-aligned sub-buffer
now returns the correct value.

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>

* perf(plc4j/spi/buffers): resolve encoding/byte order once per integer field

The fast-path eligibility guards resolved the encoding and byte order, and
when the fast path was not taken (e.g. a little-endian buffer or a non-binary
encoding) the slow path resolved both again -- an extra context/manager lookup
per whole-byte aligned integer field. Resolve them once in each read/write
method and reuse the resolved values for both the eligibility check and the
slow path. The BE-specific guards collapse into a single structural
isByteAlignedWholeBytes check combined with instanceof tests on the already
resolved values. (EncodingRaw paths now resolve the byte order they do not
use -- a negligible constant -- in exchange for exactly-once resolution
everywhere else.)

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>

* fix(plc4j/spi/buffers): honour startBit in writeBit; gate the fast path on exact codec classes

Two hardening items in the same alignment/fast-path family as the previous
commits:

- writeBit indexed the backing array by positionInBits alone, ignoring
startBit -- unlike readBit and the whole-byte arraycopy path in writeBits,
which both use the absolute bit index. A WriteBufferByteBased constructed
with a non-zero startBit therefore wrote from the start of the backing
array. Index by (startBit + positionInBits), mirroring readBit, with a
  regression test (writeHonoursNonByteAlignedStartBit).

- The integer fast-path gates checked `instanceof EncodingUnsignedBinary` /
  `EncodingTwosComplement` / `ByteOrderBigEndian`. The slow path dispatches
virtually, so a subclass registered through the Encoding/ByteOrder managers
with overridden codec behaviour would have been silently bypassed whenever
a field was byte-aligned. Gate on the exact class (getClass() == ...)
instead: multiple instances remain eligible, subclasses fall through to the
  virtual-dispatch slow path.

Also document that writeAlignedBytesBE relies on the caller's
ensureAvailable(numBits) (it has no internal capacity check), and drop the
dead value mask in writeUnsignedShort's fast path (the range check already
guarantees a non-negative value, and the mask was inconsistent with the
other five write sites).

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>

---------

Signed-off-by: Jooyoung Jung <livinglikekrillin@gmail.com>
fix(plc4go): TCP Write() armed a READ deadline (copy-paste) - write unbounded, sticky deadline broke late replies

TransportInstance.Write set tcpConn.SetReadDeadline from the caller's
context deadline (copied from the read path), so the write itself was
never bounded - a peer that stops draining the connection blocked
Write() past any context deadline - and the read deadline stuck to the
connection forever: once expired, every socket read failed instantly
with i/o timeout, so a reply arriving after the request deadline sat
unread in the kernel buffer until the NEXT write re-armed a fresh
deadline. The SetReadDeadline METHOD additionally called
tcpConn.SetDeadline, arming BOTH directions - an (expired) read
deadline made writes fail too.

The accidental sticky read deadline was also the only thing unblocking
the receive worker's bare Peek(1) polls (DefaultCodec drives Receive
with a deadline-less long-lived context), so it cannot simply be
dropped: without a bound, one Receive goroutine per receiveTimeout
cycle piles up on a silent connection, and they race on the shared
bufio.Reader once data finally arrives.

Fix, mirroring the serial transport:
- Write arms SetWriteDeadline from the context deadline (and clears a
leftover one when the context carries no deadline - an expired armed
deadline would fail later unbounded writes instantly).
- A tcp deadlineReader (port of serial's) feeds the bufio.Reader:
an explicit per-operation deadline wins and auto-clears once observed
expired; otherwise a 1s fallback keeps deadline-less polls bounded
(retryable timeout, not fatal, for the codecs' error classification).
- The SetReadDeadline method routes to the deadlineReader instead of
  arming conn-wide SetDeadline.

New falsification tests (all fail against the old code): late reply
after write-deadline expiry must be readable, write must honor its
context deadline against a non-draining peer, a read deadline must not
bound writes, an expired write deadline must not stick, and bare polls
must be fallback-bounded. deadlineReader unit tests ported from serial.
"

The PLC4X parent uses 4.1.0-only features (subprojects,
build sources), so every 'mvn install' will break on RC-6 without
maven.consumer.pom.flatten=true.

With flattening enabled, jar module consumer POMs become self-contained
model-4.0.0 (no parent reference), which also fixes Maven 3/Gradle
consumption of published artifacts (apache/maven#11772). The
receive worker concurrently drives GetNumBytesAvailableInBuffer/Peek on
the same socket and bufio.Reader, so the drain could eat a fresh
datagram off the socket and the reader swap could throw away bytes the
worker had just buffered.

Field evidence (BACnet): a WriteProperty SimpleAck reached the host
interface with a good checksum 0.8ms after the request, was never
surfaced by the codec, and the write hung until its expectation
expired. The new roundtrip tests reproduce the exact production shape -
a no-TTL connection cache re-leasing the same live connection (Reset on
a live socket under an active 10ms receive poll) - and fail under
-race against the old Reset.

For UDP nothing needs resetting: datagram framing means stale buffered
data is just a complete late reply, which expectation matching already
drops. Reconnection semantics stay in Close/Connect. The TCP transport
has the same unlocked pattern but stream framing makes a plain no-op
wrong there; that remains open.

feat(plc4go): exempt subscription-carrying connections from cache idle TTL

WithMaxIdleTime reaps connections that sat idle in the cache past the
configured age. For connections carrying stateful subscriptions (BACnet
COV: server-side registrations plus client-side lifetime/2 refresh
timers) a reap silently destroys that state - passive updates stop until
the client happens to re-subscribe, which may be hours away.

The cache now consults an optional capability interface
(ActiveSubscriptionCount) before declaring an idle connection expired:
connections reporting active subscription handles are kept regardless of
age. The BACnet connection implements the capability by summing live
handles across its subscribers (newly mutex-guarded, as the cache calls
in from outside the connect path). Drivers without the capability keep
the existing TTL behavior unchanged.

fix(plc4go): never block result delivery to abandoned request channels

Drivers hand results to the caller over a channel with capacity 1 whose
consumer reads at most one result - and a caller whose context expired
reads none. Any surplus send therefore blocks its goroutine forever once
the buffer slot is taken. Field goroutine dumps (gateway stuck for days)
show exactly this chain on modbus:

1. the poll caller times out and abandons the result channel
2. SendRequest fails against the dead device; the send-error result
    fills the single buffer slot
3. the expectation registered by SendRequest is left behind and fires
its error handler on timeout 60s later - that second send blocks
forever, pinned in the codec's WaitGroup (378 accumulated)
4. connection close -> defaultCodec.Disconnect -> wg.Wait() hangs
indefinitely, wedging the caller's shutdown/restart path

Fixes, each sufficient on its own for the observed chain:

- spi/default: SendRequest removes its expectation again when Send
fails; the caller already got the error directly, a later timeout
would double-fire the error handler for the same request.
- spi/utils: new DeliverResult helper that drops a result (with a
warning) instead of blocking when the channel is full and abandoned.
- modbus, bacnetip: deliver all read/write/subscribe results through
DeliverResult. The modbus Writer additionally delivers the send
error as a result instead of only logging it - callers without
their own deadline otherwise wait forever.

The remaining drivers (ads, cbus, eip, knxnetip, opcua, s7) share the
same hand-rolled pattern and should adopt DeliverResult in a follow-up.

test(plc4go): pin BACnet write SimpleAck handling across codec, driver, and UDP transport

Regression tests from a ugagent write-hang investigation (three rounds) that
exonerated plc4go at every layer:

- WriteRoundtrip_test.go: codec-level — a wire-shaped SimpleAck (matching
invoke id + service choice) resolves WriteProperty Execute with OK; wrong
invoke id does not resolve; Error-PDU maps to ACCESS_DENIED.
- IdleWriteRoundtrip_test.go: driver-level — writes resolve after idle gaps
and with delayed replies (cache idle-reconnect included).
- DelayedReply_test.go: UDP transport — the per-poll receive deadline is
re-armed across arbitrary idle periods; delayed datagrams still reach the
  codec.

Left for a future change (identified, not fixed here): TransportInstance
Reset() runs unlocked on every lease and can data-race the receive worker.

chore(build): maven 4 migration (#2337)

* chore(build): maven 4 migration

https://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-migration-to-mvn4.html

* chore(build): move deploy/install settings to the top

https://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-migration-to-mvn4.html

* chore(build): upgrade to newer rc

* chore(build): migrate poms added on develop since branch creation to maven 4

* chore(build): apply mvnup inference optimizations

Applied 'mvnup apply' from Maven 4.0.0-rc-5:
- drop explicit modelVersion (inferred from the 4.1.0 POM namespace)
- drop subprojects lists that exactly match the direct child directories
  (automatic subproject discovery)

* chore(build): drop obsolete installAtEnd/deployAtEnd workarounds, update README

The TODO workarounds forcing installAtEnd/deployAtEnd=false are no longer
needed: the effective maven-install/deploy-plugin 3.1.4 (pinned via
apache parent 39) defaults to false anyway, and a release-profile build
with -DinstallAtEnd=true (the Maven 4 plugin-line default) now completes
successfully on 4.0.0-rc-5, with installs correctly deferred to the end
of the reactor.

Also update the README build requirements to Maven 4.0.0-rc-5+.

* fix(build): repair code-generation integration tests under Maven 4

Three distinct issues broke the CI platform workflows (all failing since
the branch was created):

1. maven-invoker-plugin:install resolved in-reactor dependency POMs
through the workspace reader, which serves the raw 4.1.0 build POM.
In repository-mode model building the omitted parent <version> is not
inferred, producing an unresolvable versionless coordinate
   (org.apache.plc4x:plc4x-code-generation:pom:). Restore explicit
parent versions across the code-generation subtree.

2. The invoker IT project POMs pointed <relativePath> four levels up,
which from the cloned target/integration-tests location resolves to
the wrong POM. Maven 3 silently fell back to repository resolution on
the coordinate mismatch; Maven 4 follows the path and fails with a
parent-cycle error. Use an empty <relativePath/> so the parent is
resolved from the invoker-provisioned local repository.

3. The plc4py IT POM declared exec-maven-plugin twice, which Maven 4
treats as a hard error. Merge into a single declaration.

* fix(build): restore explicit parent versions in all reactor poms

Omitting the parent <version> (model 4.1.0 inference) breaks any plugin
that resolves in-reactor artifact descriptors through the repository
system: the workspace reader serves the raw build POM, and
repository-mode model building does not apply parent-version inference
(relativePath is not followed there). maven-invoker-plugin:install hits
this for every in-reactor dependency of the code-generation language
modules (first plc4x-code-generation, then plc4j once the full reactor
is in the session).

Keep the rest of the model 4.1.0 features (subprojects auto-discovery,
sources element, omitted modelVersion) which are unaffected."

Responses are now also validated against the pending
request's function code (exception frames answer any request; the generated
error PDU carries no fc).
feat(plc4go): add WithMaxIdleTime to the connection cache

Remotes routinely reap idle TCP connections without a FIN/RST ever
reaching the client (half-open TCP) - a death that no liveness flag can
detect, as it only surfaces when the first write hits the dead socket.
Field data against Modbus TCP gateways shows pooled connections dying
this way between poll cycles, costing retry attempts on every affected
poll.

WithMaxIdleTime(d) discards cached connections that sat idle for longer
than d and re-establishes them transparently on the next lease (0 = keep
forever, the default - previous behavior is unchanged). The idle clock
starts when a connection becomes idle (after connect and on lease
return). As a side effect, connection slots on connection-limited
remotes are freed between bursts instead of being parked indefinitely.
"
