Title: Brooklyn UI in Angular/JS Intellectual Property (IP) Clearance Status

An updated version of the JS browser-based client UI for accessing Brooklyn has been developed outwith the ASF and the developers would like to contribute it to the Apache Brooklyn project.

  • The Apache Brooklyn PMC will be responsible for the code.

  • It will be integrated into the Apache Brooklyn project, into the brooklyn-ui module, ultimately replacing it.

  • Alex Heneveld (Apache Brooklyn committer) will be managing this contribution.

Confirmed, there is no 3rd-party code included with the source distribution, and 3rd-party code downloaded and use as part of the build complies with ASF license policy (mainly MIT and BSD licenses).
23 Jul 2018Check and make sure that all items depended upon by the project is covered by one or more of the following approved licenses: Apache, BSD, Artistic, MIT/X, MIT/W3C, MPL 1.1, or something with essentially the same terms. Confirmed, third party dependencies reviewed and are compliant.

Generally, the result of checking off these items will be a Software Grant, CLA, and Corporate CLA for ASF licensed code, which must have no dependencies upon items whose licenses that are incompatible with the Apache License.
