Our recommendation right now is to use npm v6:
npm install -g npm@6There‘s some work in progress to make Cordova compatible with npm v7, but it needs further testing before we’re ready to release it.

I want to run a particular use case by everyone…. had a small discussion about this few days back… but I am still trying to understand whats going on
I am using the InAppBrowser … I open up a “blank” window… lets say “https://site1.com” on site1 .. there is a button which calls a method… and eventually tries to do
window.open("<https://site2.com>")I have seen this particular use case working properly few years back…. But now.. it doesnt …. I am assuming this has something to do with the window.open changes done in the InAppBrowser… but reading the documentation just confused me

never mind… i think I have figured out the issue… it seems that wkwebview doesnt play nicely with window.open

It is not officially released yet and going though a voting process.
If you want to still use it, to test it out you can install it by using the repo+tag reference.
But remember the vote can always fail for any reason.
