Just wanted to gauge the temperature of using Azure as a backend service for Cordova projects... They seem to be dropping support for Cordova now, and focusing on Xamarin. Anyone had any recent experience successfully launching an Azure service to run their Cordova app, without having to write everything custom from scratch?

afaik Azure is simply a host provider, like AWS, or any other cloud service provider. So they aren't really tied together

Besides that, what do you mean with “backend services” exactly? A backend for your app is, in theory, not connected to Cordova at all, and simply offers HTTP endpoints. 🙂
